Dogs:
Rosie - 9 ear old Belgian Shepherd/Border Collie cross
Berry - 6 month old Curly Coated Retriever
Rosie adopted Ruth in 2006, at the age of 6, when she came for her holidays and never went home again!
Ruth decided that they both needed something to think about and having never discovered a sport where she could be bothered to run, began at 40-something to do just that with agility! Shame she can't remember any courses!
Of course, this was only to be a sport for fun and absolutely no pressure through competing, but Rosie (and Ruth) loved it. Having got a clear round at her very first show in 2007, Rosie wouldn't let Ruth give up. Rosie is now sliding into a healthy retirement and in 2009 is moving down a height and targeting the veteran classes. She is passing over the lead to Berry who at 6 months is keen to learn everything but won't be running courses for a while. As a Curly Coated Retriever, Berry is not the obvious agility choice but the breed is bright and can prove ABC really applies - she is aiming for the gun dog league already.
